Why do religions prohibit things that are in human nature to do?

The thing that makes religion so special is that people still have free will and choose to practice religion. Just because its against the law to steal doesn't mean that you incapable of doing so. In most religions, mostly the Abrahamic religions, it is beleived that God likes those who are most obidient to it. ual behavior is not prohibited, its just that one has to have under the law of the religion, like marriage. Its also human nature to lust; in some people's nature to lie, some to be lazy, some to steal, some to eat whatever they see, and some to not clean themselves. Religions don't necessarily state that you absolutely don't have ability to do these things, just that you're recieve God's favor if you abstain from them for fear of God. Does that make sense?
