6 week old cries a lot day and night...colic or just fussy?

my 6 week old is a crier. he cries all day and night unless i walk around with him or hold a paci in his mouth. he also does this grunting thing and turns red like he is trying to go to the bathroom (he is not constipated though) and then gets frustrated and cries. putting him in the swing or bouncychair doesnt work and i cant hold a binky in his mouth all the time and if i just give him it he spits it out. is this all normal? what else can i do???
