Can anyone help me with the book alas babylon??? anyone who has read it will be of great help.(more info below?

Alas Babylon is a phrase mentioned somewhere in the book...I can't tell you where, as I left my copy at my house...but the main theme I think would be something to the effect of human nature and trying to survive when all resources and comfort have left. (The book is about a nuclear attack on the U.S....the citizens of a Florida town have to work together to stay alive after their town is destroyed.)
