Transferring from University to Junior College?

I previously attended the University of Oregon for 2 years and because of financial issues within my family am having to move back to California and attend a Junior College until I get the amount of credits I need to be able to transfer over to one of the UC's (preferably). The question I have is, will my GPA from UO be erased or will I be forced to start all over again? I have a great GPA coming out of UO and would hate to see it all go down the drain because of a change I could not have seen.
